Handmade Ice Dyed Linen Top Handmade by me. I start with soaking garment in soda ash overnight. The garment is then tied with artificial sinew for the details in dying. The garment then sits for one week to dry. After the week is over I sprinkle dry fiber reactive procion dyes onto the fabric. Once the dye powder is applied I cover with ice. The ice melts into the powdered dye and starts the dying process. It takes about three times of ice layering before the dye is saturated into the garment. The garment then sits for 24-48 hours before rinsing. I love the process it’s always exciting to do the rinse to see what magic the dye has created. Pit to pit 26”
