Handmade Chinese Lacquered Wooden Jewelry Box Burgundy Red Inlay Diorama Crane Beautiful wooden box with a deep, burgundy red lacquer done in a watercolor spread ink technique in a lotus flower pattern. Very unique. The oval window is real glass, NOT plexiglass, and underneath it sits a handmade scene featuring flying cranes with a pagoda/gazebo surrounded by trees. This inlaid diorama is made with wood shavings, cork and rice paper. The interior of the box is a damask satin in a bright red, with cushioned sections for holding rings or earrings, and a central compartment for larger pieces like bracelets or pendants. Box measures 7x4.5x3 inches.
