Handmade Boho Shawl

Vintage, 70's, boho/hippy handmade shawl. Handmade by Alice Fontaine, a well-known knitting professional (also, my grandmother) who worked in a knitting store in Newark, NJ in the 50s, 60s & 70s. She took great pride in teaching her customers, family, and friends the intricacies of knitting and crocheting. Each stitch was made with love! While away at college, my grandmother asked me what I would like for Christmas. I sent her a magazine picture of this shawl and of a winter sweater and told her to surprise me with either one. You guessed it, she made me both! (See separate listing for sweater). The shawl traveled with me from NJ to my college apartment in FL to California (where I hung it on the wall as a wall hanging) to PA.
