Handknit Cardigan Sweater Italian Mohair / Seafoam Green Vtg. 60's- OS

Vtg. early 60's Italian Mohair Hand Knit Cardigan Sweater / Seafoam Green - OS Gorgeous fluffy true vintage sweater with cable stitch stripe pattern and big shawl collar.  Matching vintage lucite buttons. Gorgeous, soft, fluffy and in great condition!  Was hand knit in Italy using a Vintage Vogue Knitting Pattern dated 1959. Can be worn many ways -  a few shown here. So warm it is almost like a jacket. Size is a Medium and loose fitting, will fit most people.  Is meant to fit loosely. So pretty and Feminine! Really will work for sizes S - L  If you are not sure of the size please message me your measurements and I will let you know if it will fit.  Mannequin on which it is shown is a size 6, as is the dress worn with the sweater. It is a good fit on the mannequin.  It will work for S - L  sizes and you can style it in many ways.  There is at least $150 worth of fine Italian Mohair & silk yarn used in this sweater.  Mohair yarn is made from the hair of Angora goats and is spun with another fiber such a silk to create  this type of yarn. It is a luxury fiber. A sweater of this size takes about 15 balls of this kind of  yarn to make. It is difficult to knit with because the long fibers tend to tangle and you have to keep this from happening as you knit. Such a hand knit sweater takes an expert knitter approximately 60 hours to make.  It is a work of art! There are no flaws. There are no labels on the sweater because it is handmade
