Handcrafted iron scissors impressed "BUNKIO MATSUKI", a noted Japanese American who came to the US c1888, settling in Boston & influencing the Japanese taste important in the late 19th century. Scissors are esti 5" long, w/a graceful mouse tail curve, gradually thinning as the form returns in a curvilinear fashion reminiscent of Art Nouveau. Hammered iron "feathering". Light surface rust.
