Hand Woven "Bahama" Straw Market Collectible Doll

A family member gave this doll to my daughter after a visit to the Bahamas sometime between 1985 and 1998. It has been stored in a tub in a closet for many years. It is a bit squashed from being stored with other toys. The whole thing is a bit flattened and the pompoms could use some fluffing up. I'm sure there is a way to do that without destroying the doll but I'm not willing to attempt it. I did pack the skirt with tissue paper so it may open up a bit while packed to ship. It also has been personalized with the name "Katie" on it. That could easily be removed. I believe these are hand woven from a type of reed or straw to be sold as souvenirs in the islands. Please correct me if I am wrong. Please feel free to ask questions!
