skypie2222 @gurlygirl1976 micro-crimping is what that is called! lol! sadly no this one is not... the true micro-crimpers are ones like the hot tools, the chi onyx, the sexy hair brand one, and the Sam Villa Redken crimper... oh! Sally beauty supply's house brand, "ion", just released an automatic crimper that has rolling plates kind of like this one, but this one is manual and that one moves through the hair for you! check it out on YouTube girl it looks bad to the bone!

skypie2222 @gurlygirl1976 are you wanting a micro-crimper to use at the root of the under layers of your hair, so that you create volume and root lift with the crimper instead of back combing? this is what they're typically used for, (updos and braids too) since the size is so ridiculously small for anyone trying to do their full head... you'd be at it ALL DAY LONG with normal density medium length hair and God forbid if you have long hair... HOURS!

skypie2222 @gurlygirl1976 sorry, I deviated there! lol! but if you aren't wanting to just get some voluming out if it, and instead are wanting to crimp all of the hair, I would suggest a crimper with a little bit longer width and wider plates... it will just help you move through the hair much faster, which never hurts! lol! they even make ones that have interchangeable plates, so that you can change it up if you want!

gurlygirl1976 I can’t quite remember why I was asking, my hair is bone straight Buti recently cut it short so now I’m not using hot irons at all lol... but I love that you offered a lot of info I may need it in the future...thanks😊💕
