The first product in the family of Travan-based offerings. The Colorado T1000 provides 400Mb native capacity on one Travan minicartridge [ double the capacity of DC2000 minicartridges ], while retaining backward-read compatibility with those tapes. Capacities of this level are comparable to personal computer hard disks from the late 1990s. A special notched configuration in the Colorado T1000 drive chassis enables the insertion of either a Travan or DC2000 minicartridge.
