What an outstanding transition duette between the Nouveau and the Deco style! Opaque berry clusters are wired to frame of each clip on either side of gold tone leaves. All are attached to gold tone open work Deco style metal. Each side converts to dress clips or may be worn mounted as one piece. Pat. 1852188 which dates this piece to 1932. I have an antique pair of these (different color and mine are silver ). The clips that come off it it was also designed to be worn on the tips of shoes as well as a dress clip. I used to wear my Grandmothers that she was given by her mother in the 1910’s. I thought I was so special walking around the living room with ranch clips on my shoes. She had dozens of pairs but these were the nicest. The had that nice plate the clips could clip back on to make a giant broach. I love it.
