Sizing can be hard when buying second hand! Here's a helpful hack when you get a pair of jeans that are a bit tighter than you had hoped: Put the jeans on and then get them wet! Shower, hose, however you want! Once they're wet, move around in them to stretch them out i.e. walking, squatting, sitting. Then take them off and let them fully air dry. voila! They should fit perfectly. If you need to just stretch the hips/thighs, but like the current waistline, just make sure to wear a belt when you do this.
