HIGHLY LAQUERED LARGE WOODEN BOX

A beautiful wooden box with a handpainted pattern and a high gloss laquered finish. I'm uncertain of the type of wood used but it appears to be a mahogany with a fabulous Asian design on the top. It has a hinged lid and opens to a large open compartment lined in a black velveteen fabric. It measures 12" wide at the base, 10" wide at the top, 6" in height and a depth of 8" at the base. There are a few nics/scratches primarily at the back but overall it's in very good condition and the coloring varies upon lighting. It has a wonderful flared silhouette and would be great for jewelry, at an entry table for keys or a gorgeous decor piece on a cocktail table!
