A friend of mine almost bought these on eBay. They are fake Kendra Scott - but pretty close to the original. I know there is a website out there that sells these fakes. Can someone let me know what it is? I want to educate myself on these fakes so I don't accidentally purchase them. Everyone be aware these are now out there.

Following. Which websites? I'm curious.

@mimiii @dzsongbird @shannamorris @steponmelopez @addieroo does anyone know the website?
Feb 04Reply

ambervargas
@msafra you can tell by the four little gold bars that hold the stone in. Real Kendra Scott earrings have a longer bar.

holleyrh
The cut on the stone is a giveaway as well, originals are just oval

Some really old styles, when she first started out, look just like this with the stone cute and small prongs, as well as the card. While I'm not 100% these are real, there are earrings that are real that look identical to these, so it's a possibility.
Feb 05Reply

mogauro
@msafra I believe another giveaway is the jewelry under her name. The original does not.
Feb 05Reply

msafra
I feel like they look like the old style too. That's why I need the website to learn the fake ones :)

Sam Moon has some good replicas in store, but not on their website.

I actually wonder if maybe these are samples. The website is down now and the seller is not selling, but the earrings included blue and orange goldstone Danielles, Sadies, green cats eye Danielles, and turquoise Danielles as well as some other combinations that to my knowledge have never been sold (white howlite/gold, random other stones, etc).
Feb 05Reply

elizabethli
All seemed to be Danielle sized. I bought several pairs of the earrings for myself and they blend in quite well with my regular Kendra and no one knows the difference. My turquoise Danielles from this seller are not faceted- the gold is slightly more yellow but that's the only difference I can tell. And I think it would be hard to fake Sadies because they are so intricate (but I love the pair I bought). So- no website to share but hope this helps!

@mimiii I just tagged u in a posting - they look fake - like these - right!

@mimiii mine looks similar! However mine feels real like i compared them to my other kendras and they feel almost the same the lady swore up and down they are real too! Idk weird
Feb 17Reply

mimiii
Idk how to tell them apart, as you can see above ^ people say that these look like her first ones that came out but idk. Taking it up to a KS store is the only way to be sure, I think. @rfransilver
Feb 17Reply

rfransilver
@mimiii yeah ill have to maybe when i go back to Austin ill take them with me i dont trust the store near me for opinions lol
Feb 17Reply

msafra
@mimiii @rfransilver someone said the stones on the fakes ones seem like the real ones. They are heavy and substantial. That's why it's even harder now to tell the fake ones.
Feb 17Reply

rfransilver
@msafra oh geez... the stone in mine isnt super heavy it feels just about right to me but i will go ask someone from kendra when i can
Feb 17Reply

msafra
@rfransilver let me know what KS says. Do u have a pic of the earrings in question?
Feb 17Reply

rfransilver
@msafra i have one but i forgot to take more before I left for work

@msafra Hi! Love your closet, btw! I just tagged you on my listing about a purchase I made. Can you take a look?
Apr 03Reply

msafra
@mrs_lerma I feel like the Tigers eye "Danielle" might be knock offs. They are in that wrong earring card and the earring shape looks off
Apr 04Reply

mogauro
@msafra check out a listing on here in the Kendra listungs. Someone is selling pyrite with this card. She shows the tag at the end, but only the tag. It is similar to this card holder too.
Apr 19Reply

msafra
@mogauro hi! I'm no expert, but those look like the older Danielle's. They look real to me. Ask her where she got them
Apr 19Reply

mogauro
@msafra no thanks. Her picture scares me. Plus, the packaging is all wrong. I do not buy with that holder. Did you read my fiasco with a seller here?
Apr 19Reply

msafra
@mogauro I personally don't like the shape of the older style. There is too much space between the gold and stone. No! What happened????
Apr 19Reply

mogauro
@msafra I do not like it either. A seller had sold some Drury iridescent earrings at a great price and I had asked to let me know if she would get a hold of them again. She did and I told her when I could pay. She said she would hold off. I let her know I was ready, she posted and it sold. I told her if she could cancel and she stated that she never said it was to be mine....it escalated to her friend and then I was blocked .
Apr 19Reply

msafra
@mogauro that sucks and is just not right. Who was it? Do u still want the Danielle's?
Apr 19Reply

mogauro
@msafra yes and I do not like to write names, but check out the sold Drury earrings at 85. Wink. Wink. Wait on the earrungs. I just sent out a package and am waiting on funds. If you can.
Apr 19Reply

msafra
@mogauro of course :)

I just bought a pair of Kendra Scott cobalt Elle’s that I am questioning. I have another pair of Elle’s that I bought through KS and the Posh ones have a different connector and no backs. Had a KS card but the earrings were not attached to the card. How can I determine the authenticity? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Anyone willing to help me out? Have a question about some Danielle silver blue agate lace earrings. Which ones were the limited edition ones? Or, was there such a thing? No stamp? What year? Sorry I’m clearly not KS savvy and wanting to make sure I’m not getting bamboozled Bc she says she bought them new a couple of years ago. They aren’t stamped. And she doesn’t know of any KS earrings that are (yes, huge red flag lol). Thanks so much for any help.

@foosdiva can u tag me on the listing?

@pattycakes111 this just happened to me and I can tell by looking at them they are not real. The seller's page is now down. I guess Posh banned them and refunded me.

@jesstaylor87 sucks that happened to you. The crazy thing is - I posted this probably 5 years ago. I guess there will always be scammers

@msafra Check my listings out, I have had the same experience! I am trying to report and bring awareness to this. These platforms won’t remove the accounts straightaway either. I have also contact Kendra’s brand protection and listed the names with them too. Stay safe ❤️!

Just had this encounter. I found: 1) the stones aren’t fully secure where there will be spaces around it and between the stone and the hardware; 2) the back of the stone design will be different>look closely; 3) the stone will be larger/longer than authentic stones; 4) the Kendra Scott stamp along the chain will have diff font; 5) the Kendra Scott diamond within the stamp will be smaller than the ‘S’ that’s next to it; 6) the Kendra Scott stamp won’t fulfill the entire space.

-Stones won’t be fully secure/surrounded as lateral ends of stone reveals an open space between the stone and hardware. The kendra Scott brand stamp will showcase a different font from the authentic pieces. -The inauthentic stones boasts a larger (longer) stone than the authentic pieces -the pattern on the back of the stones compared 2 the authentic will have diff styling (pay close attention). -the fake hardware will feel heavier than the original dainty hardware.
Feb 21Reply

ldelcorsal
-The circular pieces of the necklace/chains that adhere to the stone are bigger on the fake pieces versus the real ones
