Sometimes Helmut Lang's more creative designs can be difficult to describe in words, and this dress is no exception. The shape is a straight-sided shift style, and it closes with an exposed zipper in back. The shoulders and asymmetrical bottom of the dress are translucent silk organza. The rest of the dress is silk chiffon covered in irregular striations of stitching that appears to be cotton. You can enlarge and examine the photos to get a sense of the texture that this stitching gives to the dress. The overstitched portion of the dress is lined in a nude-colored silk and spandex blend fabric, so it provides privacy along with stretch. Labeled size 0, but according to the measurements, the dress is in both the XS and Small size ranges, or 0-4.
