HELLZ BELLZ HLZBELZ
A Crime For All Seasons
Zip Up Hoodie
Size Medium
Vintage from 2008
Founded in 2005 by Lanie "Miss Lawn" Alabanza-Barcena, Hellz Bellz A Crime For All Seasons is a tribute to the non-conforming female of today. Taking the name HLZBLZ from the AC/DC track “Hells Bells,” the themes question society and authority and take inspiration from underground culture, music and film.
Now this is a real NYC hoodie. Makes sense since she moved from San Diego to NYC and worked for Triple Five Soul and Rocawear when she started Hellz. This zip up hoodie was purchased in Los Angeles in 2008 along with the top also listed.
The details and stitching on this zip up are outstanding! It's got doubled up pockets on the front and finger holes at the cuffs. Snaps at the back to tighten the fit. It's lined, substantial, cozy, with a rib trim up the back of the hood. The same trim repeats on the sleeves with a wider ribbed fabric for varied texture, stitched so smartly that the chevron peeks out to set things off. The restrained use of the red stitch, the smooth solid zipper, the gray/black chevron that is different but still works with so much...do I need to go on? Streetwear for women by a woman. Amazing concept. HB seems to be no longer in production.
Price tag was removed, washed once, but never worn. Excellent condition.
