Taking the name HLZBLZ from the AC/DC track “Hells Bells,” the themes question society and authority and take inspiration from underground culture, music and film. For the Hellz Bellz 2008 Holiday collection "Born Bad," Miss Lawn took inspiration from actress, feminist and diva Mae West. West's sassy defiance in the way of her unforgettable quotes are a perfect spine to the collection, which include this laidback but striking dolman top. The sweep of the sleeve is accentuated by the way the striped fabric is cut and sewn vertical against horizontal. The fabric is a nice weight and resembles reverse cotton terry. Then there's the sassy bit where the buttons on the shoulders can be left undone to reveal a bare shoulder. It's tunic length so it looks great over leggings and boots. Streetwear for women by a woman. Amazing concept. Not sure if HB is still in production. I think she's working for Vans now. NWT. Never worn. Excellent condition.
