Being able to sell these bracelets has been a journey for me! I'm proud that a significant portion of each sale is helping the artist and her family in Nepal. Every one of these bracelets is crocheted by hand by women in Nepal. For most of these artisans, creating these bracelets and similar pieces of jewelry is the only source of income for their families. Each piece is unique and has been created with care. There are companies that sell bracelets similar to these - but they pay the artisan much less for each piece of jewelry, making it nearly impossible for these families to survive. Instead, the middleman inflates the price and keeps the profit. I've cut out the middleman, and can offer these pieces for less than the big companies, and with more benefit to the craftsperson. Each set comes with a gift bag and descriptive tag. I'm a UGA University of Georgia alum, and I love rocking my school colors with these bracelets! I also have a child that went to UMD University of MD, we have a lot of red and black in our house!
