HALL MID-CENTURY LOBSTER DISHES SET OF 2

A set of 2 lobster shaped dishes from Hall in a heavy vitrified china which is very durable and chip resistant meant for the oven to table. These are probably from the 1940's and were advertised as au gratin dishes but can be used for a myriad of dishes but I wouldn't suggest using them in the microwave. These were made in the USA when most items were. They bear the beautiful cooked lobster red with an off white interior and measure 10" X 5.5" with a 1.5" height. Hall was in business from 1900 to 2011. These are heavy pieces weighing 1 lb. 13 ounces each. I've had these dishes for 35 years and am ready to pass them on. They are in excellent condition without chips, cracks, staining or fading of color. Great dishes for entertaining and wonderful kitchen decor! Thanks for looking!
