Kauffman online including that the actual business opened in Manhattan, NY in 1875 and serviced riding clothing & equipment to the era's fire departments & most of the prominent family's during that time, as well as into the late 1900's. In the late 1990's, the company was bought by Manhattan Saddlery which is still in existence today servicing the needs & top quality items for the equine trade. This riding/show jacket has solid construction is made of a camel brown warm & thick corduroy outer & fully lined inside with genuine leather weave buttons Some small spots as seen in pics, otherwise the epitome of solid, durable vintage/antique construction. A classy piece from a renowned, and trusted saddlery for over 100+ years. This is ultimately unique and a perfect addition for the avid collector, or horse, equine racing enthusiast!
