Gregory Vachos developed a deep knowledge and enthusiasm due to his grandfather, who used to be a shomaker himself since his childhood. He was watching his grandfather making shoes, an occupation followed by his father, John Vlachos. Gregory soon realized it would be the same he would like to do in his life after having developed a deep love for the art of shoe making. It was the year 2002, when Gregory met his today wife, Sonia Tsertou, who shared his dream about creating a brand of their own. Sonia and Gregory eventually started Sandal Workshop (Σανδαλοποιείο) in the year 2005, after 4 years of research and education on the field of shoemaking. Today Sandal Workshop (Σανδαλοποιείο) is established as one of the best in the world. The Sandal Workshop (Σανδαλοποιείο) continues the tradition by making handmade genuine leather sandals with the same love and devotion to the techniques of old shoemakers.
