Greeff Fabric Sample Panel Printed in England Mandarin Bay From Ancient Shores

Thank you for looking! This is a vintage sample panel of (non-stretch) twill fabric by Greeff Fabrics, printed in England. The design is titled Mandarin Bay, from the series From Ancient Shores. The two long edges are serged, and the short edges each have a white border with product information. The panel measures about 36 and 1/2 inches wide and 54 and 1/2 inches long including the border areas. The border areas are each about 3/4 inches wide. The sample panel is probably from the 1980's or early 1990's. The panel is 100% cotton. One end has a cluster of Greeff fabric swatches of various fiber content and origin. Each cluster of swatches is sewn into the main panel. The material is in very good/excellent condition with no holes or rips as far as I can see, although some of the swatches have some fraying on the edges and there is a small, very light stain on the edge of one of the border areas. Let your creative side run free- there are a lot of possibilities for this panel and swatches! Use as is for raw material for a pillow, patchwork skirt, quilting, embellishments for artisan clothing, ties, scarf or bandana, a purse, wall hanging, or frame it. The fabric swatches could be left as is to incorporate into the project, or cut off and used separately for a quilt, to make appliques, etc. From a smoke-free, rabbit-friendly home.
