Gorgeous ZARDOZI Gold Embroidered Jeweled Evening Bag, Formal Clutch, Vintage 1

DESCRIPTION: This exceptional evening bag was purchased in NYC in the 1950's or 1960's. The outside is adorned with embroidered gold metal, gold thread and semi-precious gemstone cabochons (carnelian, amethyst, and others). The bag lining is 100% silk fabric and features 3 inside pockets. IT has a snap closure. The bag can be worn as an evening clutch with the gold cord tucked inside, or as a crossbody style bag. SIZE: Bag: 7 1/2" wide x 5" long x 2 1/2" deep (closed) Cord Strap: 37" long x 38" diameter CONDITION: Considering its age, this purse is in very good condition. There is one small garnet bead missing on the front face (replaceable). The lining stitching has come unravelled along the left side (easily repairable). There are two loose metallic threads. on the inside flap it looks like the label was glued and has fallen off.
