afrofashionista @plus As stated in the description...24kt electroplated gold. It's from a trusted source. I have a bracelet I made out of the same material that I've been wearing for over 2 years now...no fading whatsoever. I've worn it to the beach, washing dishes, etc. You can't get solid gold half the size of this bracelet for $65. If you do though, let me know...I would love to buy. :-)

afrofashionista @ublookn A thin layer of gold is bonded (electroplated) to a base metal. The piece of jewelry won't contain as much gold as regular 14kt, therefore the cost is less. Electroplated jewelry that is done well can, however, hold up well. This particular piece has a very thick layers of gold. Another bracelet I made of the same material has been wearing well for years and I go in the water with it at the beach.
