Gold and Navy Indian Kurta set

Beautiful navy and gold kurta/tunic. Size is XL but I would say it fits like a large. The fabric has no stretch to it at all. 21in armpit to armpit. Lines and has slits up the sides. Leggings are cotton/spandex blend. Tag says “free size” and says will fit waist 36 to 44 inches. However, my gut says will fit small and medium comfortably and a large might be a bit snug.
