Gold Filled Seahorse Sand Dollar Necklace Real Seahorse?

Fun vintage necklace featuring a goldtone seahorse pendant along with little sand dollars and ridged round beads. The seahorse might be real -- it's lightweight and very realistic looking. There are several small spots of verdigris oxidation on his head and neck, but otherwise the necklace is in good vintage condition. The fine gold chain has a spring ring closure with a partial mark of XL 1/2 -- probably the start of a gold filled mark. The seahorse measures 1 3/4" x 3/4" and the necklace is 24" long.
