Goddess Jeans skirt 14 large stretch maxi frayed detail broken zipper

This is a really cool skirt. The only bummer is the zipper is broken. However, a quick fix would be to just take the zipper off and sew in a piece of black elastic. Then it would be so easy to just take on an off because it’s stretchy. The waist is about 16 1/2 inches across the front and the hip area is about 21 1/2 inches the front the length is 36 1/2 inches. There is no side slit.
