Go Green - We Can Make Better Choices

We can all become cousins to Mother Earth & REDUCE plastic that is killing life on earth. Start with something easy: stop using plastic as much as possible. Plastic is so convenient but after it’s discarded & breaks down, birds then eat & feed it to their young and it kills them. There are now 70% fewer sea birds than 50 years ago. Let’s save the birds 1. Use only straw brooms with wooden or metal handles - not plastic brooms. 2. Use only metal dustpans- not plastic ones. 3. Hand Soap: Replace pump bottles with bar soap! by using plastic-free soaps. 2. Choose a Powdered laundry detergent in boxes.. Canada banned single use plastics three years ago- so what are we waiting for? 3. Bleach also used to come powdered- and there’s Oxyclean & Biz that are fabric safe bleaches that come in boxes. 4. For pre-wash, use bar soap like “Fells Naptha Soap” instead of sprays in plastic bottles. It’s a little more work but Mother Earth women aren’t afraid to get our hands wet & soapy to save our planet for our children. 5. Bar shampoo, which is starting to show up more often. Maybe find someone in your community that makes it- or learn to make it yourself. IMAGINE how great it would be if everyone changed these 5 things! Yes- It’s a drop in the bucket, but drops are how streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans are filled - with 💦 drops of water- so let’s make several Drops by making better choices for Planet Earth. 🌏 🌍 🌎
