Gischard Vintage German Barometer, Hygrometer and Thermometer

A fabulous vintage German Gischard Barometer, Hygrometer and Thermometer desk weather station with a beautiful solid polished wood casing. The barometer was hand made by the well-known Gischard company based in Germany. Known for its precision high quality barometers. The Gischard weather station wood is dark and the polished wood grain adds warmth and texture, giving the barometer a classy look. The barometer weather station is in a golden coloured brass metal casing. The barometer mechanism seems to work, but it is sold as a decorative vintage collectable rather than a working item. The Gischard weather station face is divided into three areas to show the readings for the three different components - Barometer, Hygrometer and Thermometer The back of the barometer is protected by a silver metal backing which can be unscrewed. The solid wood decorative Gischard Weather Station measures approx. 21 x 14 cm (8 1/4 in (5 1/2 in) and it is 3.5 cm (1 ½ in ) deep.t. It weighs 715 g (1 lb 9.2 oz).
