This gorgeous coat is both workhorse and showstopper, thanks to the sumptuous camel hair fabric and rich, flattering color. Being double breasted (has all its original buttons) means it stays closed even on windy days, which enhances the warmth from the high quality camel hair fabric and full lining. It also dresses up the coat considerably. The long kick pleat in the back facilitates walking even when completely buttoned up, and eases the fit and comfort when wearing it while seated. It is difficult to accurately capture the standout, rare deep cherry red color in photos; it is the reason I bought the coat, and why I am so sad not to fit it any more. This is not a brick red or orangey red like many “red” coats are. Not being an everyday red shade makes this coat suitable as outerwear for more formal occasions as well as for your commute to work.
