Genuine Heddon DeLux fishing rod, No#35 Peerless. Bamboo is Choice Tonkin Cane; Split. Tempered and seasoned. This rod has two tip sections. Measures 8-1/2Ft, 5.40 0z and is known as "The Rod with the Fighting Heart". All original. Was purchased April 6, 1942. Excellent condition with original Red Sock and Protective Aluminum Storage Tube. Ladies may be interested in this rod as well. ***The last four photos are where the stamp is on the metal reeel seat piece. I tried to get a good look to read it, but, I do not have a strong enough camera. However, you should be able to see the marking. Used the pencil to show you exactly where the mark is.******

royaljester @buddahdawg The info you sent above for the link was old and not the same rod. All of this is original. We are in negotiations with a local Fishing & Hunting Club who knows quite a bit about the authenticity of this rod. We are taking it off-line.

royaljester @tarr9422 Hi! I added three photos of the engraving on the rod. The one photo shows the Heddon DeLuxe going around the rod, so I took a pic of the opposite side where the engraving is marked. The other picture shows the information that is on the label. Heddon DeLuxe. #35 8-1/2' 2F. On the label is the Inspected and approved by "JMEU" initials. Hope this helps. Thanks for your interest.

royaljester @tarr9422 Good morning. No bother, however, there are pictures of the cork handle and there are no engravings or markings on that cork handle and reel seat. This is all original, as I am sure you can tell. Please let me know if you are still interested. Thanks!

tarr9422 @royaljester I’m sorry, but none of the photos show the metal reel seat and only a small portion of the cork grip. On the Heddon rods, there usually is a stamp into the metal somewhere on the real seat. Again, I am interested. Just need the small details to make a decision. Regards, Will

royaljester @tarr9422 Hey, Will. I tried my best to take more pics for you. I am showing in the last four photos show the marking on the metal real seat. royaljester @tarr9422 I appears to be "Hidden De" then possibly two letters and one number. It is really so small but the stamp is there.

royaljester @tarr9422 I also looked up this rod on line to see if I could find any stamping on the black metal part, but I cannot see anything there on line either. The info as stamped on the rods "Heddon DeLUxe and the #35, etc is on the rods on line. I just don't have a high power enough camera. Sorry.
