gloriouspraise @katherine1597 The 36" is the waist and the 26" is the inseam. The waistband has 31R stamped inside. It must be a mistake as they measure 36".

gloriouspraise @smjsh718 Hi! I measured and just posted more pictures with the measurements. The very top does measurements 36". I also measured the hips 9" below the very top of the jeans. Thanks for inquiring!
