A beautiful whorl design in various shades of green & black creates an unusual, and magnificent design in these Malachite oval cabochon cufflinks. The malachite 18 mm x 25 mm cabochons are set in scalloped bezels on gold plated cufflinks. The first culture to use malachite for adornment was ancient Egypt around 4,000 BC. The Egyptians used malachite as an ornamental stone in jewelry and art. The stone was imported from King Solomon's infamous copper mines on the Red Sea. One of the most common uses of malachite from the medieval through the Victorian times was to hang small pieces of malachite dangled from baby cribs and children's beds to help keep evil at bay, and to help children have peaceful sleep.
● NWOT. No two of these natural stones are alike but are matched color-wise and pattern-wise, made in the USA & purchased directly from the jeweler/artist.
●These are natural semi-precious stones; therefore, it is common for them to have variations in color or some minor flaws intrinsic to the stone.
● Actual item color may vary from the images shown. Monitors may not display the true colors, and people perceive colors differently.
