You simply send them to GORUCK should you need to and they repair or replace for free but these things are super tough and dry in a flash. They are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. Im only selling because to be honest they are for a warmer climate than Alaska. For someone in the dessert who wants to keep the sun off their skin or maybe a rough hot terrain where your legs would get torn to shreds by the brush, like Hawaii these are the ticket. I prefer zip offs and this company doesn't make them. For airline travel they are great too, two decent size side pockets for your cell phone and passport or id while headed through security. You can pay as much or more for another brand that manufactures in Asia and doesn't have a lifetime guarantee.
