For your consideration is this beautiful large, rolled, triangular serving bowl by Georges Briard in the Silver Damask pattern. This lovely, heavy piece features silver floral and botanical medallions on a clear glass background accented with a wide silver rim, and George Briard’s signature on the side. It measures approximately 6 1/4" high and 9 1/4” across, on a 5 ½ “ wide silverplated base. The Silver Damask pattern was produced from 1957-1967.
This, as well as all the other glass and porcelain items I have up for sale, has been in my late mother’s home for many years.
Please note: This bowl is in very good, used vintage condition. But please keep in mind, it is over 50 years old and therefore, not new. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing, just some normal scratches on the underside of the bowl. There is some silver loss on the edges. This is normal in a piece of this age. Please look at the photos carefully. The silver is tarnished in places and could do with a good cleaning, but I’ll let the new owners do that.
This elegant mid-century bowl would make a delightful addition to any table — for use or display! It is just gorgeous!
