This is due to these devices not having sufficient memory capacity and other required technical capabilities to utilize current map data. TESTING Located a compatible cable for testing purposes ** ONLY ** | USB Cable is ** NOT INCLUDED **. Connected the nüvi to a Windows 11 laptop and powered it up successfully. Windows Device manager picked up the unit and its internal storage without the need for additional drivers. Ran through the menus and photographed the highlights. The the nüvi acquired satellite signals and homed on the map without issue. Also explored the unit with the Garmin Express software where it reports as an unregistered device, with the correct serial number, an [ Updated ] Software Version of 7.80, and 2GB of storage with 204.23MB Free. The battery charged to full and seems to hold that charge as most of the pictures were taken while the unit was on battery E5213
