Funky Native American pin pendant

I don’t know much about this except my parents bought it from an artist in Tuscan Arizona. I believe it’s sterling. It’s a bit roughly made. It’s signed SP Red on the back. Can be a pin or pendant. Measures 3” wide x 2” tall. It’s at least 25-30 years old. Could be a famous guy now… don’t know.
