Full Venetian Mask Macrame (handmade in Italy)

The name of this Mask is VOLTO which means face in Italian. Also known as the citizen mask, because worn by the common people of Venice during holidays since ancient times. Initially there were almost no decorations on it, but in present days the mask is commonly adorned with macramé lace, crystals, gold or silver leaf, and other embellishments making it a real celebrity of the modern Venetian Carnival. The mask is varnished and waxed for a vintage appearance. Ribbons tie it to the head.
