Name of Tapestry is: L' Appel au Passeur. Translated to "Hailing the Ferry"(what was told)It is approximately 70x60 with a 6"Gurlande filigree border. It is by an English Artist Harris Rightway, early 1900. His tapestry designs were woven in our ateliers during his lifetime. An admirer of the french painterJean-Baptiste Corot. He also specialized in painting scenes of life in the countryside.It's a fine goblein weave of cotton and wool blend. It was loomed in Paris France.
