French Ribbonwork Floral Applique/Embellishment - White Silk Rose with Pink

Needing only a few stitches to reinforce the center floral and shoulder flowers, may I offer this 1920s Art Deco era ribbon work floral embellishment / applique that I picked up in France a long, long time ago. The center flower is off white silk (with an almost blue grey tinge) while the shoulder buds are pink and lavender ombre each centered with an appropriately colored glass bead. The "leaves" are olive green ombre ribbon from France are a basic "loop de loop" design. Size is 1-1/2" wide x 7/8" high. Lightweight piece. Entirely hand sewn. To attach to your favorite piece, add a pin to the back - this way, the piece can be detached before your item is cleaned (the silk doesn't take too kindly to washing). The ribbon applique is quite secure now and is in no danger of falling apart. Uses? A dolls hat or dress, a blazer lapel, a dress, a lampshade .... the uses are endless.
