charmed_patina Hello! I was wondering if you use any scented laundry detergent or fabric softener. Due to several autoimmune disorders, I have an extreme hyper Sensitivity to perfumes/fragrances/scents/odors ( I can smell what no one else can!) They make me incredibly ill and give me excruciating migraines. Also I am allergic to Tide, Clorox two and Febreeze (even the free and clear/gentle.) I only use free and clear products.

alisttrends @nmala661 oh my God I feel your pain about migraines I get them too I do use either Downy or Gain fabric softener and I've been using tide for detergent but I used to use gain I could get some of the free and clear detergent and hand wash it twice and let it soak a bit with no fabric softener if you think that would be okay and not cause a migraine but would that be enough? Or is it something that like if it's ever ever use the wrong detergent then it's no good?

charmed_patina @alisttrends you are so sweet!! Unfortunately all detergents/softeners, shampoos/conditioners, etc are silicon based, so basically they melt to the fibers, hair, etc to smooth them out. This essentially traps the chemical compounds that the fragrances are made of. Once it’s there, it’s there for good. That’s why I ask.
