Fred Paris Modernist Gem Set Ring 18Kt 0.96 Cts Ceylon Sapphire

A ring with a sapphire designed by Fred. Beautiful geometric piece created in Paris, France by the house of Fred, circa 1980's. It was crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karat, with high polished finish. Bezel set on top, with an oval cabochon cut (4.5 x 5.5 x 3.2 mm) of a natural vivid blue sapphire of 0.97 carats. Has a weight of 6.95 Grams and the actual size is 6 sizeable. The width measure is 8 mm. Stamped, with French hallmarks; the eagle's head for the assay and guaranty of the 18 kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche, the serial numbers and signed, "FRED OR .750 52 BEF 32386".
