Frankoma pottery is a MCM gem that people are seeing the value in again. This piece is called the large 224 Plainsman bowl. It’s a Terra cotta with a smooth, nut brown glaze. The pattern is very subtle and has almost like a star in bubbles. This is a feature. Best seen on the side. This piece is in very good shape for its age and has obvious cracks and missing pieces in the bottom, but it isn’t visible. Obviously l, this detracts from the value some, but whereas it isn’t a visible flaw, it doesn’t totally take away from its use or display. This bowl alone runs anywhere from $36-$45 on most antique sellers pages. Signed Frankoma is very special.
