Francesca’s Paige Leopard Wayfarer Sunglasses NWOT (Cheetah!)

Story Time: I love Francesca’s for the accessories, especially the sunglasses! I immediately fell in love with these design-wise. The wayfarer style with that unexpected pop of color and animal print with the silver detail on the nose and the beautiful dark plum lenses which give a perfect contrast to the frame…Everything! I have to say though, as a lover of leopard print, it does drive me a little crazy when they misname a cheetah print for a leopard. The spots don’t lie! This is cheetah print to me and actually to describe the color of the frame, which I find beautiful and quite unique, think of a cheetah and then go two shades darker, and then add just the slightest tinge of orange. The stark contrasting color scheme of the dark plum with this almost burnt orange seems to me very 70’s inspired. The lenses are the key. They bring the design back to the contemporary with elegance and there is even a slight ombre from light to slightly darker. I love them but the truth hurts! Realistically, I am just not going to use them as much as I use my other pairs. I have never worn them out, simply tried on. I had them well stored so there are no scuffs of any kind.
