Besides him is a young swooning girl in a yellow dress and hair ribbon. Above her, in the corner, it reads, “Bobby Shaftoe’s gone to sea. Silver buckles on his knee He’ll come back And marry me Pretty Bobby Shaftoe” Unsigned. Guessing that painting dates from the mid 60s to 1970s. A charming painting by an unskilled artist. In excellent vintage condition. One small discoloration on the silver part of the black frame - see pic. There is no glass, but it doesn’t feel necessary here. Measures approximately 12 x 15 inches.
