Framed Monotype by Belgian Artist Rene Remy, 1973 - Unique, one-of-a-kind art

Gorgeous monotype by French artist Rene Remy, created in 1973. Remy was for many years the director of Xun Art Gallery in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. Unlike a monoprint, which can be one of multiple prints, a monotype is a single, one-of-a-kind, unique work of art. This one, titled "Branches et feuilles" (Branches and Leaves), measures 14 by 9 inches and is framed behind glass in a standard goldtone gallery frame. (Frame dimensions are 17 by 11 inches) Rich hues undulate from umber to black in the center of the piece, on a background of pale green.
