Fragonard Porcelain Silent Butler Crumb Catcher

Beautiful porcelain silent butler/crumb catcher in the Love Story Pattern illustrating Jean-Honoré Fragonard's "Courting Couple" in different scenes surrounding the top of the lid and the same pattern around the sides of the piece. This is a stunning piece in vibrant colors with the pale blue background, trimmed with gilt. The handle has two scenes on it, one on the front and one on the back. Inside is bright white porcelain with a gold floral design in the center. Good condition - the only flaw is the hinge is broken with some wear on it (see pictures).
