I still have them on as I write this.” Massdrop is legendary for taking high quality headphones and boosting them into a new class of auditory satisfaction. When Fostex and Massdrop collab-ed on this headphone in 2018, the collection sold out immediately. A testament to its lasting quality is how rarely these headphones are seen for resale. The Mahoganey wood itself adds to the rarity of this item. This wood is known for adding warmth to sound and balancing out the upper range in a pleasant way. Overall a gem of a headphone and one I treated with fondness and care. This headphone is used yet it is in remarkable condition. It has never been transported in a bag or taken outside (except once when I moved houses, and my 30+ headphones were all carefully boxed). The wood is polished and has its original sheen. The one modification I made was exchanging the earpads for Yaxi TH-00 Alcantara (retails at $85). These pads are the most similar to Stock and the Alacantara is a unique coziness unmatched by Dekoni.
