pgibboni @eyepad yes the bottom is solid and has padding. I took it to LA Beverly Hills for a phot shoot and was stopped in the street many times over it… very special and you can’t find this in the US! In Italy….it is high fashion for doggies. Solid and wonderful. Can use a kennel while eating. Secure open in back when walking. There is a lead that connects to a harness while in the carrier. For security.
