irulali @doggone22deb the purple is the base knit, and the pic you're referring to is the inside of the dress. on the outside it's much more metallic gold but with definite purple undertones. the FL&L stock photos (model in pink hair) are more accurate than the top two, but don't really show off the dress all that well :)
