Flemish Tapestries Unicorn In Captivity Made In Belgium Hand Finished With COA (K-FEB2025-S) ***************************************************************************************************** COA at the back as shown in pics On the COA - 'This handfinished tapestry has been woven by the group on Jacquard looms in Belgian Flanders "Metrax Comag" and French Flanders "Craye" 185 Unicorn in captivity The "Unicorn In Captivity" was woven in Flandres at 1500 and is part of a set of 6 "Unicorn Hunting" in the Metropolitan Museum - New York' ****************************************************************************************************** This piece also known as 'Unicorn rests in a garden' Fully lined with incredible details and hand work Approximately (62cm x 48cm) 25-1/8 x 18 inches Has a pocket on the back for inserting a curtain rod for wall hanging Background is black and the back is black/very deep navy(looks like black if it wasn't black) There looks like a crease on the unicorn's face, but it is really not, it is a 'semi-fold' line which is not a 'dead crease' line and should be flattened out easily when you iron the piece or take care of the piece.
