iridessegray @gbullard @dressinglauren @bellanovella Hi! I just added a pic of half my office. I moved my desk around (finally)- so now I get to decorate my walls!! On the left, it’s my packaging/folding table, then my rack for steaming/staging, my main desk, and then my “photo studio”. The other half of the office (not photographed) is going to be a lounge area (getting a couch) and also houses bins of inventory. ✨

So have I been using my lighting kit all wrong if I have my umbrellas facing the opposite direction you do? I have the bulb facing into the umbrella but the umbrella open to the mannequin

Your daughter is incredible & I am so glad to have met her at PoshFest! My room still needs to be decorated (moved into my house in June) so it’s been in progress ☺️ my product is stored on the other side of the room (it’s a really big room) I’ll post one once I get a better organization system going. So there’s plastic stacking bins, bookshelf, and a closet. 💕

Takes no more than 5 min and it can be on its way to a lovely new home! I’ve been napping at the most random times, this pregnancy has me tired right before dinnertime lol!! 😂🤣

iridessegray @vickyalves12 Hi!! I keep mine folded in lettered bins & in a closet in my office. I keep like-textured items together (so a sequin top won’t snag on a chiffon top) & categories together (dresses, dresses, sweaters, etc). I got stackable bins from Target so they are all the same color (clear) & they are the same size so I can stack them high in 2 piles (I have about 450 active listings). Now when I list, I have the letter bin at the end so I can quickly find it. Hope that helps! ✨💛💫

iridessegray @vickyalves12 Anytime!!! Happy to help! The Sterlite clear bins w/Purple Clips on the sides are what I get. They have different depths (so I have shallower ones for accessories/kids, and deeper ones for tops/sweaters) but they can all stack neatly. The labels- I just made on a word processing document, cut, and taped them to the front (and printed an extra copy so I have an index to refer to). Have an awesome day!!! ✨💛💫

My understanding is that I don’t need to share these “listings” then unless I want to change their place in my closet listing, yes? Seems they will stay at the spot between my sold items and my active items.....of which there are not too many! 🙂

iridessegray @cnmsilver Depends on where you want the placement if the listings- so for example, my “Posh Party Live” Listing is the first listing since that’s a current event that I’m involved in so I want that to be the first thing people see- so that will be the last thing I share. Sold items will naturally fall to the bottom since they won’t be shared. So anything that is shared gets cycled to the top.

I would say have the cover photo be of just the single red one and move the one with the three styling options/colors as your second photo. Try that and see if it changes any activity. It’s a nice pic too. Sometimes swapping cover photos can generate interest, that’s why I make sure to have at least 2 cover photo potential pics for each item. 😊

I was thinking of getting a box light instead of using umbrellas- sometimes they still cast some unevenness. So still playing around with it. My overheard light in the room is also a natural light bulb so that helps too. Still learning! 😄

I believe she got it from a local retail store in the mall that was closing a few years ago. I do love how unique and simple she is (no patterns, solid base, flat neck, hard form but has a soft outer). I know other Poshers have gotten similar ones via amazon or craft store like a Hobby Lobby. Hope it helps!! ✨💛💫

I worked in retail for most of my life (visual merchandising) hence all the coordination, categorization and descriptions and how I have a lot of merchandise, haha. I actually Posh full time now. :-)

threadbun @iridessegray Neat! I went to school for nursing when I was (way too) young and then changed my major to non fiction writing and photography. I’ve always been interested in things like set dressing and I styled photo shoots while I was in school (you’d never know it from my photos...I need a mannequin 😬) My husband has been telling me to start an online store forever and this just seemed like an easy way to experiment. I’m so interested to know about people doing it full time.

iridessegray @sunnybirdmarket Hey Chrissy! I added a 3rd pic to this listing where I have my umbrella lights usually positioned. One on each side in front of the mannequin and the third next to the right one to cut some back shadows behind the mannie. It’s not 100% perfect but it’s get the job done. When I light a flat lay, then I use more direct light on it. Hope it helps!! ✨💛💫

celestegeorge I am so close to having my garage done so I can turn it into my Posh room. Cleaned out all the cupboards, had four garage sales, dropped off 3 van loads at goodwill & Thursday having the floor of garage sealed with epoxy. 😁 So close. I need shelving next.
